The Dean's Office

Reverend Johnny L. Johnson, Dean

From the Pen of the Dean

Greetings,

Christian education is our need, our goal and our work in each of our local churches. The same is true about the visionary efforts of the South Carolina Baptist Congress of Christian Education. This great entity's thriving existence is to assist the local church as it achieves its needs, goals and work in Christian education. Charles G. Adams says "All education is self-acquired, since no one can educate another." The Apostle Paul says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV).

The State Congress provides opportunities for its Baptist constituents to acquire the education needed for their growth and improvement. We ask that you take advantage of the opportunities, such as the Winter workshops in the earlier part of the year, the annual session in July and any request for workshops and assistance from the Dean's office. Education happens when a person uses the opportunities before him or her. Please feel free to contact the Dean's office with your questions or concerns regarding certification requirements and curriculum. Our emails are listed below for your convenience.
