Happy New Year Greetings and 2018 Emphasis - "Worship That Teaches About God".
Worship is the ultimate form of honor that can be ascribed to God Almighty. Worship is recognizing God for who He is and what He has done for humanity through creation. God's sovereign power and glory is demonstrated from Genesis to Revelation, when the angelic choir sings Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty. We see the manifestation of God's created order in His ability to speak creation into existence. God's spoken Word is the primary evidence of His powerful existence. The earth was void, dark and without form. God's verbal command ushered order into existence. That which was created performed it's genre of worship based on its purpose in creation. Every aspect of creation carried out its role as instructed by God. Atmospheric structure is evidence of God's created order. Cosmic and nature's obedience is the ultimate form of worship. God's created order and structure is evidence of His perfected vision for redemption. Everything God made was not only good, but also very good. (Gen. 1:27)
God looks out upon creation, gives Himself a standing ovation and takes a rest. God meant for creation to worship the creator. The Sabbath was to be kept Holy so that all that was created would worship the Creator. Failing to acknowledge the perfection and purpose of creation is to ignore God as the Creator. Nothing that exist has its being except God was its maker. Every aspect of nature is obedient to its created purpose. Any creature failing to function according to God's design is out of the will of God. Therefore, disobedience, disbelief, and failure to serve in your gifted ministry are forms of idol worship. "They that worship Him should worship in Spirit and in Truth." (John 4)
